Before you press start

Many things in your home affect WiFi speed. These four steps bring your test result closer to your plan's real speed.

Or use a LAN cable. Walls and distance can reduce WiFi speed considerably.

If your router supports it, connect to the 5 GHz network for higher speeds at close range.

Stop any streaming, app updates or cloud backups running on other devices during the test.

Repeat 2–3 times at different times of day and take the average for a more accurate result.

Reading the Results

Download: How fast you receive data — for streaming, browsing and downloading files.
Upload: How fast you send data — for video calls, online CCTV and uploading files. On GISNET, upload matches download.
Ping / latency: Network response time in milliseconds (ms). Lower is better — important for online gaming and video calls.
Jitter: How consistent your ping is. Low jitter means a stable connection without stuttering.
